The Food Revolution is in Your Living Room

Mar 31, 2010 | 2 Comments
Is Jamie Oliver really starting a revolution in America or is it simply hype? I’m curious to hear your thoughts.

Alright, I’m admitting it here first that I have yet to watch Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.

I know, bad, bad me. But don’t worry – I’ve been a fan of his ever since I saw a BBC special he did a few years ago, going into schools in Britain and finding similar results to those in the US:

I’m also relatively impressed ABC gave this show a go. And in the food circles in which I run around, people seem to be digging it. But I haven’t heard much in the way of specifics.

Could Oliver actually stimulate a change in the school lunch system in America like he did in his home country? Now THAT would be impressive.

Alright, those of you that have watched the show, I’m dying to hear your thoughts. Talk it up or down in the comments.

Since his Naked Chef days Jamie has always been one of my most ardent hetero-man crushes. I am glad to see him taking on the juggernaut of the school lunch system…good luck Sir Jamie!!
Did you know most American school lunches are provided by the same company that feeds incarcerated prisoners?
    Almost too ironic.
