Writer’s Guidelines
Would you like to submit a piece for the site? We’d love to have it! Although we currently are unable to pay for articles, having your article published on Living Holistically is a great resume-builder, and you will be linked in with a growing community of well-known holistic professionals.
Here are general guidelines for submitting an article or proposal:
- The article must be related to health in some form, though we are open to relatively wide interpretations of what this means. Most things in life affect our health in one way or another – we simply want alternative ways of approaching positive health outcomes. Does your idea challenge traditional, Western assumptions about health? Does your idea give our readership another choice in strengthening their resolve around health, whether that be from a physical, emotional, or spiritual standpoint? Will our readers be inspired to try a new avenue or view their health in a different way?
- Most of our articles are between 700-1200 words. Shoot for 900, give or take a 100.
- If you have pictures, great – send them along with the proper source credit. If you don’t, no big deal.
- Currently, we are most interested in pieces relating to energy medicine, spirit, exercise/movement, and the environment.
- Be sure to include a short bio with relevant links to websites or other works, and a small headshot.
- If you have specific questions, please email christine@holisticwithhumor.com.
